Text comparison for document review
Helps locate content changes in contracts, reports, and drafts when both PDFs contain a readable text layer.
Not a visual comparison
It does not independently detect typography, color, position, or image changes. Scans require OCR and results need review.
Check that both PDFs contain selectable text
The tool extracts text before comparing it. If you cannot select and copy a sentence in your PDF viewer, the file is probably a scanned image: run both files through PDF OCR first. Two documents with the same text but a different design can also show no differences.
How to read the result
Lines beginning with + were added in the revised version; lines beginning with − were removed from the original. The report helps you find blocks to review, not decide on its own which version is legally valid.
