Direct text-layer extraction
The browser interprets textual PDF content and creates a TXT result you can review, copy, or download.
Reading order and limits
Columns, tables, and complex layouts may appear in a different order from the visual page. Compare the output with the document.
When the TXT file is empty
This tool reads the text layer already present inside the PDF. A scanned document can show letters on screen and still contain no selectable text: use PDF OCR in that case. If the file is protected or the reader cannot interpret its contents, extraction can fail.
What gets downloaded
The result is a .txt file with a heading for each page. It keeps extracted words and page separation, but does not reproduce fonts, images, positions, or PDF layout.
